Current Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Food prices in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (22/8/2024) at 09.48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are garlic bulbs, SPHP rice, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, fine iodized salt, red chilies, broiler chicken, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Simple packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp300 (1.72%), reaching Rp17,770 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most sharply by Rp650 (5.86%), reaching Rp10,440 per kg.
