Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (18/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, fine iodized salt, red chilies, skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), medium rice, granulated sugar, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,260 (10.06%) to Rp24,720 per kg. Bulk cooking oil experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp1,180 (7.19%) to Rp15,240 per liter.

9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,270 per kg (down 1.44%)
