Central Java Food Prices on Monday (November 18th): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (18/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, red chili peppers, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp880 (2.51%) to Rp35,990 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price drop, decreasing Rp330 (0.99%) to Rp33,050 per kg.
