Bali's Current Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (11/10/2024) at 09.31 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, iodized fine salt, premium rice, milkfish, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, pure beef, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) prices surged the highest by Rp1,060 (10.0%) to Rp11,660 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic bulbs decreased the most by Rp2,350 (6.54%) to Rp33,560 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on October 11, 2024, at 09.31 WIB.

6. Garlic Bulbs: Rp33,560 per kg (down 6.54%)
7. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,990 per kg (up 0.6%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,230 per kg (down 0.32%)
9. Red Onion: Rp24,560 per kg (up 3.76%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp18,130 per kg (unchanged)
