Food Prices Today in D.I Yogyakarta: Red Chili, Oil, and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in D.I Yogyakarta today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) at 12:43 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 18 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include dried soybean seeds (imported), premium rice, packaged cooking oil, garlic, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, pure beef, Minyakita cooking oil, shallots, and corn for farmers decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili recorded the highest increase of Rp7,421 (15.6%) to Rp55,000 per kg. Pure beef prices experienced the deepest decrease of Rp1,961 (1.43%) to Rp134,706 per kg.
