Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Prices of Chicken, Onions, and Beef Rise (Monday, April 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/4/2024) at 11:37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, mackerel, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and dry soybeans (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp14,120 (21.61%) to Rp79,460 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp130 (1.18%) to Rp10,890 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp28,440 per kg (up 0.6%)
