The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) will disburse Rp176.3 trillion (approximately US$11.7 billion based on current exchange rates) in funding for investment financing this year. The majority of this investment financing will be used to support the development of infrastructure clusters throughout Indonesia.

"The State Budget allocates Rp176.3 trillion for investment financing, of which Rp85.3 trillion, or 48.5%, will be used to support infrastructure development," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati in a press conference on the State Budget (APBN KITA) on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Sri Mulyani stated that part of the Rp85.3 trillion will be allocated to state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) tasked with construction projects such as toll roads and housing infrastructure.

The government is targeting 229,000 affordable housing units for low-income communities (MBR) with a budget allocation of Rp26.21 trillion.

In addition to infrastructure, Kemenkeu is also disbursing this investment financing for education clusters (Rp20 trillion), food and the environment (Rp4.8 trillion), community protection (Rp4.3 trillion), international cooperation (Rp3.5 trillion), and other clusters (Rp58 trillion). There is also financing for the guarantee obligation cluster amounting to Rp330 billion.

Sri Mulyani said that financing in the international cooperation cluster includes social assistance programs, such as aid for the earthquake disaster in Turkey some time ago. "This is a means for Indonesia, as a large country, to respond to various conditions, usually disasters experienced by other countries," said Sri Mulyani.

However, the state treasurer stated that as of January 2023, none of the allocated budget had been disbursed. "So, from the financing side, Rp176.3 trillion has not yet been realized in January," she said.
