Joint BUMN Recruitment 2023 Opens Soon: How Many Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (BUMNs) Are There?

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) will open the 2023 Joint SOE Recruitment next Thursday (May 11, 2023). The recruitment has been postponed from its original opening date today, Friday (May 5, 2023).

"The opening and online registration for the 2023 Joint SOE Recruitment (RBB) will be on May 11, 2023. This is to hopefully give young talents more time for optimal preparation," stated the Instagram account @fhci.bumn on Friday (May 5, 2023).

Previously, the registration process was scheduled for May 5-20, 2023. However, following this schedule postponement, there is no further information on how long the registration will be open.

The number of SOEs has decreased in the last five years. According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), by the end of 2021, there were 95 SOEs in Indonesia, a decrease of 16 companies compared to 2020.

In 2021, the majority, or 69 SOEs, were Limited Liability Companies (Persero), followed by 14 Public Limited Companies (Persero Tbk), and 12 Public Corporations (Perum).

Based on their business sectors, in 2021, the majority of SOEs operated in the manufacturing industry, namely 28 companies, followed by SOEs in the transportation and warehousing sector with 16 companies.
