Current Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (1/7/2024) at 10:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, shallots, Indian mackerel, medium rice, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp3,560 (12.67%) to Rp31,650 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices fell the most sharply by Rp240 (2.58%) to Rp9,050 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,510 per kg (up 0.56%)
