Latest Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down (Friday, January 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (5/1/2024) at 09:38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, shallots, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, milkfish, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp500 (4.04%), reaching Rp12,880 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp3,360 (9.09%), reaching Rp33,610 per kg.
