Food Prices Today, January 22 in East Java: Onions Up, Chili Peppers Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 22, 2026) at 05:13 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are Honan garlic, broiler chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, red bird's eye chili, wheat flour, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic saw the highest increase of Rp433 (1.32%) to Rp33,300 per kg. Red bird's eye chili prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp1,060 (2.69%) to Rp38,379 per kg.
