East Java Food Prices Tuesday (August 13th): Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,730 (29.04%) to Rp12,130 per kg. Meanwhile, Indian mackerel saw the steepest price drop, falling Rp3,590 (10.79%) to Rp29,680 per kg.
