The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported a drastic increase in Personal Income Tax (PPh) collected through the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS) in June 2022.

In the first three weeks of June 2022, the realization of PPh deposits from PPS participants reached Rp18.6 trillion, the highest compared to previous months, as shown in the graph.

This year's PPS has been open since January 1 and will close on June 30, 2022.

According to Kemenkeu data, until 08.00 WIB on June 28, 2022, approximately 160,000 taxpayers had participated in the PPS, with a total declared net asset value of Rp390.15 trillion.

Overall, the PPh collected from this program until 08.00 WIB on June 28, 2022, had reached Rp39.54 trillion.

According to the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Kemenkeu, all taxpayers participating in the PPS program will be exempt from administrative sanctions.

PPS participants also receive protection, so that the disclosed asset data cannot be used as a basis for investigation, investigation, and/or criminal prosecution.
