Indonesia's Latest Food Price Update: Oil Up, Chilies Down (Tuesday, March 26, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (26/3/2024) at 12:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, red chili peppers, milkfish, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean seeds (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp80 (0.51%) to Rp15,880 per liter. Milkfish saw the lowest price decrease of Rp510 (1.52%) to Rp33,150 per kg.
