Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Fish Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down (Wednesday, November 22, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (22/11/2023) at 13:26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase, jumping 8.64% or Rp2,730 to Rp34,320 per kg.

Next, the prices of red chilies and curly red chilies increased by 4.97% or Rp4,140 to Rp87,450 per kg and 3.72% or Rp2,470 to Rp68,840 per kg, respectively.

The price of milkfish at Rp34,370 per kg increased by Rp600 or 1.78%, the price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) at Rp12,570 per kg increased by Rp150 or 1.21%, and the price of dry soybean seeds (import) at Rp12,830 per kg increased by Rp120 or 0.94%.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, shallots, chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken decreased by 1.32% or Rp460 to Rp34,480 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Central Java.

The price of shallots was recorded at Rp32,520 per kg, down 1.16%, the price of chicken eggs decreased to Rp26,860 per kg from Rp27,070 per kg, and the price of iodized fine salt decreased by Rp40 to Rp11,990 per kg.
