Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Eggs Up, Salt Down (Saturday, November 18, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 13:16 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

The price of layer chicken eggs saw the highest increase, jumping 1.27% or Rp340 to Rp27,210 per kg.

Next, the prices of dry soybean seeds (import) and bulk cooking oil each increased by 1.11% or Rp140 to Rp12,710 per kg and 0.85% or Rp120 to Rp14,160 per liter, respectively.

The price of shallots increased by Rp100 or 0.31% to Rp32,720 per kg, premium rice increased by Rp30 or 0.21% to Rp14,320 per kg, and milkfish increased by Rp30 or 0.09% to Rp34,160 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of iodized fine salt decreased by 3.23% or Rp390 to Rp11,700 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Central Java.

The price of bulk wheat flour was recorded at Rp10,030 per kg, down 2.72%, the price of mackerel decreased to Rp33,680 per kg from Rp34,170 per kg previously, and the price of simple packaged cooking oil decreased by Rp180 to Rp16,120 per liter.
