Pringsewu's Food Consumption Insufficiency Rate Decreased by 10.51% in 2024

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung, was 10.51% in 2024.

This figure decreased by 0.31% from the previous year's 10.82%, and by 1.31% over the last 5 years.

Indonesia's average PoU was 8.27% in 2024. This means that Pringsewu Regency's PoU is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.

This means that less than 10.51% of Pringsewu residents consume food but have insufficient energy needs.
