Nine Percent of Riau's Population is Christian

The Christian population in Riau province, as recorded on December 31, 2022, was 659,690. This represents an increase of 21,570 individuals compared to the previous year, which reported 638,120.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the proportion of Christians in the province reached nine percent of the total population recorded in 2022, which was 7.18 million. Compared to other religions, the proportion of Christians is second highest.
