2023 Update: Pangkep Regency Population: 355,000

The population of Pangkajene and Islands Regency was recorded at 355,000 in 2023. Over the past 22 years, the population has steadily increased. Compared to the previous five years, the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of this region is higher. The growth over the last five years was recorded at 1.31%.

Compared to other regencies/cities in South Sulawesi Province, Pangkajene and Islands Regency ranks tenth in terms of population. When viewed by island, this regency/city ranks 16th.
