PVMBG prohibits all activity in the southeast sector along Besuk Kobokan within 13 km of the summit. Outside this zone, people must not enter within 500 m of river banks along Besuk Kobokan, as pyroclastic surges and lahar flows may reach up to 17 km from the crater.
