In addition to the six major religions in Indonesia, East Kalimantan Province also records followers of other religions. As of December 31, 2022, these followers numbered 281 individuals. This is a decrease of 16 individuals compared to the previous year, which reported 297 individuals.

According to data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the proportion of the population following other religions in this province reached 0.01 percent of the total population in 2022, which amounted to 3.75 million people.

Considering its distribution relative to the population of each region in Kalimantan, the proportion of the population following other religions in East Kalimantan ranks fourth.

Other regions with the highest number of followers of religions other than the six major religions are South Kalimantan with 8,986 individuals, West Kalimantan with 943 individuals, Central Kalimantan with 814 individuals, and North Kalimantan with 77 individuals.
