East Jakarta's Food Inadequacy Rate Rises by 4.38% in 2024

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta reached 4.38% in 2024.

This figure increased by 1.3% from the previous year's 3.08%, and by 2.88% over the last 5 years.

Indonesia's average PoU was 8.27% in 2024. This means that East Jakarta's PoU is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
