This title remained in 2023, when Egypt's date production reached 1.87 million tons.
Saudi Arabia ranked second, producing 1.64 million tons of dates, followed by Algeria in third place with 1.32 million tons.

The country that exported the most dates in 2023 was Iran, with a volume of 270,990 tons.
It was followed by Iraq with 264,710 tons, Saudi Arabia with 188,230 tons, and the United Arab Emirates with 174,430 tons.
