2023 Update: Keerom Regency Population: 67,864 people

Keerom Regency's population was recorded at 67,864 in 2023. This figure increased compared to 2023 and is higher than in December 2021. Compared to the previous five years, the region's Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) is higher. The growth over the last five years was recorded at 3.51%.

In terms of nominal figures compared to other areas in Papua Province, this regency/city ranks among the top five, while in terms of island ranking, it is eighth.

According to 2023 data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), 42,001 or approximately 61.89% of the population in Keerom Regency is in the productive age group of 15-59 years. Furthermore, 31.35% of the total population, or approximately 21,277, are children (aged 0-14 years), and another 6.76% are residents over 60 years old.
