Prevalence of Food Consumption Inadequacy in West Bangka Rose by 2.44% in the Last 5 Years

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands, reached 10.85% in 2024.

This figure decreased by 2.94% from the previous year's 13.79%, while over the last 5 years, it increased by 2.44%.

Indonesia's average PoU was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in West Bangka Regency is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.
