East Bolaang Mongondow Residents' Food Consumption Deficiency Figure Rises 6.58% in 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi reached 6.58% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.34% from the previous year's 6.24%, while over the last 5 years it rose by 1.98%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in East Bolaang Mongondow Regency is lower than the national average.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) defines PoU as a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition security conditions.

This means that residents of East Bolaang Mongondow Regency who consume food but do not meet their energy needs make up less than 6.58% of the total population.
