Indonesia's Full Vaccination Rate at 25%, Ranked 7th in Southeast Asia

25% of Indonesia's population has received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. As of October 27, 2021, this vaccination rate placed Indonesia seventh in Southeast Asia.

Four Southeast Asian countries have achieved full Covid-19 vaccination rates exceeding 50%. Singapore boasts the highest rate, with 80% of its population fully vaccinated.

Cambodia follows with 77% of its population fully vaccinated, Malaysia at 74%, and Brunei Darussalam at 55%. Thailand (42%) and Laos (37%) are the only two countries in the region with higher vaccination rates than Indonesia.

Timor Leste has a similar vaccination rate to Indonesia, at 25%. Following them are Vietnam (23%), the Philippines (19%), and Myanmar (8.3%).

Full vaccination aims to optimize the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine, reducing the risk of severe symptoms and death from Covid-19.
