Several districts/cities in South Sumatra province still record a relatively low level of second dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Banyuasin Regency, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and Musi Rawas Regency.
As of yesterday's vaccination program data, these three regencies have only completed 1.02 million second doses out of the targeted 1.5 million vaccine recipients.
Banyuasin Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second dose vaccination in this region has reached 67.61%. This is the lowest compared to the other 17 districts/cities. The first dose vaccination, however, has reached 92.38%, or 1.05 million vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 625,020 participants.
Next is Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this area has the second lowest rate. With a target of 577,930 vaccine recipients, 67.69% or 391,220 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose vaccination has reached 93.49%, or 993,550 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Ogan Komering Ilir last week was 1,930 recipients. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 64,870 doses.
Musi Rawas Regency is ranked third. With a target of 295,010 vaccine recipients, 68.26% or 201,370 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Musi Rawas last week was 2,290 recipients. The currently available vaccine stock is 52,000 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in South Sumatra has reached 95.71%, or 6.03 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 76.38%, covering 4.81 million vaccine recipients.
