Several districts/cities in Gorontalo province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Gorontalo Regency, Bone Bolango Regency, and Pohuwato Regency.
As of Tuesday, October 19, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 239,510 first doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 562,530 vaccine recipients.
Gorontalo Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 41.05% vaccination. This is the lowest compared to the other six districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 316,700 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 1,444 participants. The available vaccine stock is 21,186 doses.
Next is Bone Bolango Regency. This area has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a vaccination target of 129,760 participants, only 42.69% or 55,392 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 581 participants. The available vaccine stock is 17,572 doses.
Pohuwato Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 116,070 participants, only 46.62% or 54,117 participants have been vaccinated.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Gorontalo has reached 46.5%, covering 436,380 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 22.34%, covering 209,640 vaccine recipients.
