The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 75 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 5.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Palangkaraya City, Sibolga City, Barito Timur Regency, Klungkung Regency, and Tabanan Regency, with values of 12.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 20 regencies/cities, while 34 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Sibolga City, and Barito Timur Regency, with inpatient utilization rates of 12.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
