The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 278 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 60.32 percent as of Saturday, October 29, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 120.13 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Garut, and Yogyakarta City, with respective values of 288.29 percent, 182.34 percent, 128.4 percent, 120.28 percent, and 120.13 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days was recorded in 67 regencies/cities, while one regency/city recorded a lower elderly vaccination rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 288.29 percent, 182.34 percent, and 117.48 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
