The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 275 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 58.72 percent as of Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 116.64 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Yogyakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with values of 277.79 percent, 178.73 percent, 127.63 percent, 119.33 percent, and 116.64 percent, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 198 regencies/cities, while 142 regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Aceh Singkil, with elderly vaccination rates of 277.79 percent, 178.73 percent, and 116.64 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
