The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reported that cases of atypical progressive acute kidney injury (AKI) reached 324 cases by November 15, 2022. These cases were spread across 27 provinces.
Kemenkes spokesperson Mohammad Syahril stated that there have been no new cases in the last two weeks (since November 2, 2022). The number of patients hospitalized has also decreased; only 14 remain.
The breakdown is as follows: 9 patients are hospitalized at RSCM (Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital), 2 in Aceh, and 1 patient each in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Riau Islands.
"We are very grateful that in the last two weeks, the number of cases in the country has not increased. Only 14 (people) are still hospitalized at RSCM," said Syahril in an online press conference on Wednesday (November 16).
Meanwhile, 111 patients have recovered, while 199 have died.
Syahril stated that there have been no additional deaths in the last two weeks. "The death toll remains the same (no increase). There are still 27 provinces currently reporting these cases," he said.
