Today's COVID-19 Provincial Data Update: Highest Increase in DKI Jakarta (Wednesday, April 6, 2022)

The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Banten, and East Java.

1. DKI Jakarta recorded an additional 753 cases

DKI Jakarta is ranked first. The increase in cases here was 753, a 0.06 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.24 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.24 million.

In addition to recording the highest increase in cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded two deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta has reached 15,196. The seven-day positive rate in DKI Jakarta is 4.41 percent, while the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for Covid-19 hospitals is reported to be six percent.

2. West Java recorded an additional 432 cases

West Java is ranked second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 432. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 4.07 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 101.8 per week.
3. Central Java recorded an additional 295 cases

4. Banten recorded an additional 196 cases

5. East Java recorded an additional 153 cases

7. Bali recorded an additional 53 cases

8. East Nusa Tenggara recorded an additional 48 cases

According to the Ministry of Health, the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals in this province is eight percent.
10. East Kalimantan recorded an additional 38 cases

East Kalimantan is ranked tenth. The increase in cases here was 38, a 0.02 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 205,950. With this addition, the total number of cases in this province is now 205,990.

Meanwhile, one death was recorded in East Kalimantan today. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in East Kalimantan has reached 5,693.

The trend of case development in this region over the past week has decreased. This can be seen from the lower confirmation rate per 100,000 population compared to the previous week. Similarly, the positive rate in this region is recorded as lower than before. According to the Ministry of Health, the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals in this province is five percent.
