North Toraja is the regency with the highest number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, at 1.66 per 100,000 people per week. The number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in this regency has not improved, showing an increase compared to the previous week, which reported zero cases.
The same situation occurred in Parepare City, which recorded 1.34 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. In this regency, the number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases is also higher than the previous week, which reported zero cases. Tana Toraja follows, recording 0.82 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in this South Sulawesi regency.
Kepulauan Selayar and Luwu are next, with 0.73 and 0.53 weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of weekly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across the 34 provinces is starting to decline compared to the previous week, which was at 0.6 per 100,000 people per week.
