The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 190 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.93 percent (data as of Friday, August 19, 2022).
The five districts/cities with the highest seven-day positivity rates, exceeding 19.91 percent, are Tegal City, Tanah Laut, Palangkaraya City, Barito Timur, and Kapuas, with values of 23.61 percent, 20.83 percent, 20.49 percent, 20.37 percent, and 19.91 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 155 districts/cities, while 101 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tanah Laut, Palangkaraya City, and Barito Timur, with seven-day positivity rates of 20.83 percent, 20.49 percent, and 20.37 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
