The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that as of Friday, July 28, 2023, 69.17 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia. This figure represents 38.1 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in Covid-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded at 2,212 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.54 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of Covid-19 booster vaccine recipients, with 1.6 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (982,650), Bekasi Regency (979,450), Cianjur Regency (913,490), and Bandung City (901,510).
In other regions, East Java is in second place nationally with 9.46 million booster vaccine doses administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.32 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.65 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.39 million, 4.22 million, and 3.01 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
