The top five, starting from the highest number of specimens examined per week, are Pangandaran (999 specimens), Kudus (984 specimens), Tarakan City (964 specimens), Mojokerto (963 specimens), and Manado City (956 specimens).
Pangandaran is ranked first. With a population of 407,350, the number of specimens examined here is recorded at 999 specimens per week. The latest positive rate is 0 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Kudus. The population in this region is recorded at 893,350. In an effort to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of specimens examined is 984 specimens per week. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0.75 percent, or higher than the previous week's percentage.
Then, Tarakan City recorded 964 specimens examined per week, while Mojokerto recorded 963 specimens per week, and Manado City, with a population of 433,880, recorded 956 specimens examined per week.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 238 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report the number of daily specimens examined with higher figures than before. Meanwhile, 74 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of specimens examined compared to the previous week's examination.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of specimens examined include Tarakan City, Manado City, and Banjarbaru City, with 964, 956, and 919 specimens examined, respectively.
