Among the top five, deaths in Madagascar decreased by 0%, deaths in Morocco decreased by 8.7%, and deaths in Tunisia decreased by 14.29%.
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest number of deaths in the last seven days in Africa occurred in Tunisia, with 36 deaths. This represents a 14.29% decrease compared to the previous week. Following Tunisia, Morocco recorded 21 deaths (down 8.7%), Malawi recorded 5 deaths (down 37.5%), Zimbabwe recorded 4 deaths (down 20%), and Algeria recorded 2 deaths (up 100%).
A total of 78 deaths were recorded in Africa during the last seven days. This accounts for 0.53 percent of global Covid-19 deaths, totaling 14,783. The number of deaths in Africa decreased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 151 deaths.
