Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Monday, September 5, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 165 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently at 3.94 percent (data as of Monday, September 5, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Luwu Utara (52 percent), Banjar (49.87 percent), Sorong (40.38 percent), Payakumbuh City (37.59 percent), and Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most districts/cities outside Java. Daily BOR figures higher than previous days were recorded in 80 districts/cities, while 74 districts/cities recorded lower BORs.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Luwu Utara (52 percent), Banjar (49.87 percent), and Sorong (40.38 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
