The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 57 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, January 6, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.57 per 100,000 population per week, are Gayo Lues (1.03 per 100,000 population per week), Kepulauan Tanimbar (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), Aceh Singkil (0.78 per 100,000 population per week), Sumbawa Barat (0.59 per 100,000 population per week), and Metro City (0.57 per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Two districts/cities recorded higher daily agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 than previously, while two others recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Gayo Lues (1.03 per 100,000 population per week), Kepulauan Tanimbar (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), and Aceh Singkil (0.78 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
