The top five, starting from the highest, are Simalungun, Tidore Islands City, Mandailing Natal, Banggai Laut, and Pangandaran, with percentages of 94.35 percent, 86.21 percent, 84.95 percent, 80 percent, and 79.39 percent, respectively.
Simalungun ranks first. With a population of 880,300, the weekly suspect testing percentage is recorded at 94.35 percent. The latest positive rate is 2.99 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Tidore Islands City. The population of this region is recorded at 102,120. In an effort to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly suspect testing percentage is 86.21 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 5.26 percent, or higher than the previous week's percentage.
Then, Mandailing Natal recorded 84.95 percent testing, Banggai Laut 80 percent, and Pangandaran 79.39 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 122 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly suspect testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 179 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly suspect testing percentage compared to the previous week.
