The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 281 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 59.79 percent as of Thursday, November 17, 2022, based on KTP (Indonesian ID card) data.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 109.17 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Cirebon, and Tebing Tinggi City, with respective rates of 123.37 percent, 120.04 percent, 115.59 percent, 112.94 percent, and 109.17 percent.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates above previous levels was recorded in 202 regencies/cities.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Tebing Tinggi City, with elderly vaccination rates of 123.37 percent, 115.59 percent, and 109.17 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
