Several districts/cities in West Sumatra Province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Pasaman Barat Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, and Agam Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies have only completed 91,664 second doses out of the targeted 1.11 million vaccine recipients.
Pasaman Barat Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only seven percent of the target population in this region has received the second dose of the vaccine, the lowest among the 19 other districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first dose has reached 30.98 percent, or 129,290 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 333,060 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Pasaman Barat last week was 4,182 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 13,677 doses.
Next is Padang Pariaman Regency. For the second dose, this regency has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 342,590 vaccine recipients, only eight percent, or 29,158 participants, have received the second dose.
The first dose has reached 22.08 percent, or 105,830 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Padang Pariaman last week was 2,182 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 12,928 doses.
Another regency is Agam Regency, ranked third. With a target of 432,030 vaccine recipients, only eight percent, or 37,441 participants, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Agam last week was 3,501 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 19,836 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 37.78 percent, or 1.67 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 17.64 percent, or 777,780 vaccine recipients.
