Mask Wearing Compliance Highest in West Java at Train Stations

The Covid-19 Task Force recorded a 98.57% mask compliance rate at train stations in West Java from July 19-25, 2021. This percentage was the highest compared to other crowded locations in West Java.

Other crowded locations in West Java with high mask compliance rates include offices and schools, with percentages of 97.8% and 96.13%, respectively.

Mask compliance in West Java shopping malls was 95.8%, followed by airports at 93.18%.

Mask compliance at public sports facilities/RPTRA in West Java was 92.55%, while compliance at places of worship was 90.33%.

Tourist attractions had the lowest mask compliance rate in West Java, at only 74.04%.

A total of 1,456,984 people were monitored at 259,458 points regarding the implementation of health protocols in West Java, including mask compliance. The average mask compliance rate across the 27 cities in the province reached 91.28%.

The use of masks, especially double-layered masks or N95 type masks, is crucial in preventing the transmission of the coronavirus. Therefore, people should wear masks when going outdoors. Furthermore, the public is urged to maintain social distancing and wash their hands with soap.
