In terms of percentage, the top five countries with the highest increase in deaths are Côte d'Ivoire, Tunisia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Togo. The total deaths in these five countries as of Thursday, October 6, 2022, amounted to 15, with a weekly growth rate above 0 percent.
Côte d'Ivoire recorded the highest increase in Covid-19 deaths in Africa, with weekly growth reaching 100 percent. In this country, Worldometer recorded two deaths, an increase compared to the previous week's single death.
Next is Tunisia, which recorded a 66.67 percent increase in deaths compared to the previous week. The number of deaths in this country was reported as five, an increase of two compared to the previous week's three. Deaths in Kenya decreased by 0%, Zimbabwe recorded four deaths (unchanged from the previous week), and deaths in Togo decreased by 0%.
