The top five, starting from the highest number of people tested per week, are Ciamis (992 people), Ambon City (989 people), Cimahi City (988 people), Pontianak City (977 people), and Sukoharjo (975 people).
Ciamis ranks first, with 992 people tested per week. The latest positive rate is 0.4 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Ambon City, with a population of 484,690. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 989 people were tested per week. The positive rate in this region is 1.92 percent, down from the previous week's percentage.
Cimahi City recorded 988 tests per week, Pontianak City recorded 977 tests per week, and Sukoharjo recorded 975 tests per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 143 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily tests over the past week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 229 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of tests over the past week compared to the previous week.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of people tested per week include Ambon City, Pontianak City, and Padang City, with 989, 977, and 967 people tested per week, respectively.
