Today's COVID-19 Provincial Data Update: Jakarta Records Highest Increase (Sunday, March 20, 2022)

Indonesia today recorded 5,922 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 5.96 million as of Sunday, March 20, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.

The following are the provinces with the highest number of new Covid-19 cases recorded today

1. DKI Jakarta recorded 1,167 new cases

DKI Jakarta ranks first. The increase in cases here is recorded at 1,167 cases, or a 0.1 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which has reached 1.23 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.23 million.

In addition to recording the highest number of new cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded 14 deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta has reached 15,078. The seven-day positive rate is at 8.6 percent, and the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported at 19 percent.

2. West Java recorded 1,127 new cases

3. Central Java recorded 658 new cases

4. Yogyakarta recorded 513 new cases
