Uruguay recorded the highest increase in Covid-19 deaths in the Americas, with weekly growth reaching 100 percent. Worldometer recorded two deaths in the country, a 33.33 percent increase compared to the previous day.
Canada followed with a 50 percent weekly increase in deaths, totaling 393 deaths. Daily statistics show a 1,055.88% increase compared to the previous day's 34 deaths.
Next, the United States reported 2,050 deaths (up 18.09%), Trinidad and Tobago saw a 12.5% increase in deaths, and Chile reported 188 deaths (up 5.62%).
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest number of deaths in the Americas over the past seven days occurred in the United States, with 2,050 deaths. This represents an 18.09% increase compared to the previous week. Brazil followed with 484 deaths (down 9.02%), Canada with 393 deaths (up 50%), Peru with 190 deaths (down 10.8%), and Chile with 188 deaths (up 5.62%).
Total deaths in the Americas over the past seven days were 3,636. This accounts for 31.84 percent of global Covid-19 deaths, totaling 11,419. The number of deaths in the Americas increased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 3,366 deaths.
