Valentine's Day is a special moment to express love to loved ones. From young couples to older ones, everyone can celebrate this day of love and affection.
However, according to Ipsos survey results, Valentine's Day is celebrated more by millennials than by older age groups. Among those under 35, 68% of respondents said they were very likely or likely to celebrate Valentine's Day.
27% of respondents under 35 said they were unlikely to celebrate Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, 5% of respondents in this age group said they were unsure whether they would celebrate the day of love.
The second largest group was the 35-49 age group, where 55% of respondents said they were very likely or likely to celebrate Valentine's Day. 39% of respondents in this age group said they were unlikely to celebrate, while another 6% were unsure.
Meanwhile, in the 50-74 and older age group, 45% of respondents said they were very likely or likely to celebrate Valentine's Day. 49% of respondents said they were unlikely to, and another 6% were unsure.
This survey was conducted online with 7,112 adults in 28 countries between December 23, 2021, and January 7, 2022. Countries involved in the survey included the United States, Canada, Malaysia, South Africa, and Turkey.
